NYX Matte Lipstick

I was looking for THE perfect matte lipstick when I went to the store this weekend. Why? Because this girl loves lipstick. I'm literally obsessed. I have red, nude, orange, and even purple, but I was lusting after a beautiful vibrant pink when i stumbled across THIS guy.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Addis Ababa.

After having tried a few other brands (and spending a good lil amount of money), I was thrilled that this color was finally as vibrant as I was desiring. I love it. I want to wear it any and every day. I got many compliments.

While I am very aware that this red shirt doesn't really help you see the true color of this pink matte lip color, it was Gameday at UGA… So sorry bout it.

Go get it, thank me later.

This is NOT a sponsored post. All opinions are my own and products were paid for by me.

Weekend Round Up: Birthday Girl

This weekend was TOO much fun!
Many of you may or may not know how old I am.
You may speculate that I am 23, 24…
Well, you're wrong. I just rang in my 21st birthday yesterday!

For my birthday, some of my good friends came into town to celebrate in good ol' Athens. Next weekend, I'll be in Atlanta so you'll see all of those pictures too. Note, this is a slightly picture heavy post. Sorry not sorry.

Sissy gave me a g/c to Anthro!

First real drink I made
Truth or Dare/Drunk Jenga. Try it.

Take a shot with a DJ (and a picture)

More pictures to come.. I'm just waiting on them to come to me! What did you do this weekend?

November 20

The temptation will always be to say, "After I…" or "When this happens then I'll…" but life doesn't work that way. You, your circumstances, your life will never be everything you want them to be. Don't let that stop you. Embrace this moment. Be who you are. You're the best gift you can give the world.

Birthday Wish List

With my birthday just 5 short days away, I finally know what I want… Besides a nice drink and a new tattoo.

I would LOVE an outfit for New Years (which I *fingers crossed* will be spending in New Orleans!) and shoes that I actually need for my birthday outfit. The dresses are from LuLu's and the shoes are Steve Madden. Of course.

Does anyone still buy outfits specifically for their birthday or any holiday for that fact? Or am I alone on this?
Which dress/romper is your favorite? Which do you think I should get?

Weekend Round Up

Hey y'all! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! For the first time ever, I'm linking up with Sami over at Sami's Shenanigans to tell you about my slick (non)eventful weekend.
This past week was glorious in that I didn't have too much to do for nursing school and I kind of let that go to my head. I took all that "bored" and "get me outta here" feeling and at the last minute, decided to take a trip to good ol' Auburn for the UGA v. Auburn game.

I had to see my Dawgs play and I had to see two of my greatest guy friends, Aaron and J. Hop.
Once I got to Auburn, I honestly was just so tired from being up since 6 AM Friday morning, that I went to sleep. Lame, unfortunate, I'm old, I know. But the only thing that mattered to me was seeing the guys and tailgating on Saturday, so whatever.

Saturday morning I got up and met up with Brooke, a girl I go to school with who is HILARIOUSLY funny, and her equally as funny family. We stayed there for a while and all the guys bet big bucks on their corn hole game while I just awkwardly floated around Brooke's family stealing some snacks, enjoying the company and making sure my dress didn't reveal too much (it was short y'all… and see through. Oops.)

We left their tailgate right before they left to go to the game and just walked around campus going to different tailgates and grabbing food before finally deciding to make the 4 mile trek back to the car so we could go home and watch the game.

Can we talk about the game for a minute? Can we talk about the last minute score by Auburn to win the game? Actually, you know what… Can we not?

This girl watched the whole game and DOES NOT want to talk about it. Ever. In life. Just like we don't mention the UGA v. Alabama SEC Championship game around these parts.

I watched the game with another Dawg fan and two Auburn fans and as soon as that game ended, all I wanted to do was pack up my car and come home. I was that salty… Plus I didn't wanna hear Aaron's mouth anymore cause he was too excited and I didn't wanna hear it. But even more than not wanting to hear his mouth, I didn't wanna sit. In traffic. In the dark. On the highway. On a 3 hour drive home.

So I sat. On the couch. And demanded the channel be changed before Nick Marshall started speaking.

What'd y'all do this weekend? Did you watch the UGA v. Auburn game? Did you fall on the floor and want to whimper like I did?

5 Randoms

1. I don't get dressed if I don't have to leave the house. In fact, I change into sweatpants and a giant t-shirt as soon as I walk in my door.

2. Moosetracks ice cream. I shouldn't even HAVE to elaborate on how amazing this flavor is or how to be my friend you need to know that this is my favorite flavor (in addition to my deep love for giraffes and Trolli Sour Gummy Worms).

3. I REFUSE touch my thermostat until 8 or 9 PM. So it's either bundle up or take it all off because I'm trying to save as much moolah as possible over here. Oh and don't ever touch my thermostat.

4. Nursing school is literally the hardest, most time consuming, and only thing going on in my life right now. But everyday I love it a little more and it continues to get more interesting. I learned how to draw up and give meds last week!

5. My friend Dakota's Bridal Shower was this past Sunday and it was a lot of fun! Y'all may or may not remember, but I'm a bridesmaid in her June wedding, so I helped plan a little bit of it. The only thing I will say is that it was homecoming this past weekend so getting a bunch of the girls together Sunday after a crazy weekend wasn't the easiest thing to do.

Below are some pictures of homecoming via other people's phones because I didn't take any pictures this weekend. Soooo you'll have to wait to get the shower pictures and the good homecoming pictures lol

Friday's Fab Five

I absolutely cannot believe that it is already November!
I am almost done with my first semester of nursing school and my birthday is just 24 days ways! To bring in this new month, I'm going to share five things I am loving on this dreary Friday.

One
Via

I truly love (and count on) a good pair of boots and a scarf to pull an outfit together. As a nursing student, I'm only in class 2 or 3 days each week and I wear scrubs every other day of the week, so my fashion sense has been slacking. Because fall is my FAVORITE season (not sweating and melting around campus nor am I shivering and bundled to my eyelids), I finally have a reason to get decently dressed up for class.

Two

Homemade white bean chili.
Y'all, this is seriously TO DIE FOR. I made it a few weeks ago and it made so much, that I ended up freezing over half. With how bipolar the weather has been here in the good ol' state of Georgia, it was nice to whip this out when the temperatures dropped last week.

Three

Did I ever tell y'all that I LOVE football? No? Oh. Well I do. And I especially love Georgia/Florida weekend. Before I entered nursing school, it was a weekend of parties since class was cancelled on Friday (see today) and traveling down to St. Simon's Island to get ready for the World's Largest Cocktail party. Now however, my weekend will consist of homework and studying. But you best believe I will be watching football with whatever friends are available tomorrow afternoon.

Four

Friday Bride Day! Before she was even engaged (since summer of 2012), my friend and I have been doing Friday Bride Day. With this same friend now engaged to be married in June, this is forreal our thing. I've done them without her and just Snapchat pictures of dressed to her before, but sometimes when she's unavailable, I'm sneaking some Kendra on Top in (she's just too funny y'all, I'm sorry).

Five

One sweet boy.
Located in one of the most beautiful places on earth.
I'm not going to introduce him to the blogging world just yet, but he is seriously the sweetest thing. He and I are currently doing a long distance "situationship." When he gets home, we'll figure out what's going to happen from there, but I am so truly grateful and blessed that we met and I trust God's plan no matter what happens with this.

Obviously I've jumped on the bandwagon and linked up with the beautiful ladies over at The Good Life Blog, A. Liz Adventures, Carolina Charm and Hello! Happiness for Five on Friday!

And with the fabulous ladies of Follow the Ruels and Diary of a Real Housewife for Friday Favorites!
