If you're anything like me, you have a love/hate relationship with hats.
How to wear one, where to wear one, what to wear with one... the questions are endless but today I'll try and offer what I would do with a little help from Fanatics.
Fanatics has some amazing sports gear for everyone - men, women and children alike. For this challenge in particular, I needed to create a "sporty luxe" look that I could wear to a baseball game, BBQ, picnic - wherever hats are acceptable this summer - and I think I did just that:
This outfit is quite patriotic without screaming "America!," so you could wear it to a ball game, the park, the beach or even to a Fourth of July cookout! I chose this hat from the Cubs hats page, not because they're my favorite team, but because the colors work wonderfully for almost any outfit I have in my closet - hello, it's blue! Honestly though, any hat from Fanatics will do!
My basic guidelines for wearing hats are to treat them just like any other accessory - either go big and bold on the hat with a toned down outfit, or do a neutral hat with a fun outfit!
(I really thought about throwing a camo shirt and some jean shorts up there in that picture, but I didn't want to explain my love of camo to y'all just yet.)
